FIELD RECORDINGS
Natural Found Sound/Stereo Experiments
The following sounds are from field recording and stereo audio experiments with fellow artist Thomas Moore. We had two identical tape recorders that were recording at the same time, one is left, the other is right. Certain parts of the recordings made exact in ear copies, other parts are off a second or two, slowing down and speeding up a bit. I manipulated reverb on both recorders and also tweaked the pitch knob on mine a bit. Also, it depended on how loud the recording was that made the natural reverb and delay. -L. R.

Roanoke Marginal Arts Parade
This is a recording of the 2011 Roanoke Marginal Arts Parade and the finale, a smashing of a piano. The first half of this recording is some crowd noise, a passing train, people walking around and tape reverb/delay experiments. The middle is the actual parade and then the last half is the piano smashing. I have this recording divided into two files, the second is the piano part. I recorded this with a Marantz pmd-222 and AT condenser mic.
