Comando Bruno

Comando Bruno – Coagula
Comando Bruno is Rafael Flores from Spain. He has been actively involved in the experimental / industrial music scene starting in the early 80′s. This particular recording is made up of 4 pieces, each one sounding as if it was made from highly effected field recordings or tape collages. The first piece is heavy reverb, metallic sounding and cold, the second is more warm sounding, with phasing type sounds moving in and out of the foreground, the third is a shorter work with rumbling cacophony. The fourth has more layering, a meandering synthesizer, oscillating, and a transistor radio’s static filling in space at varying volume depths, The skipping in this track is intentional. This release was originally released on a cd in a poly jacket gatefold with printed artwork and cd-r.

Eric Boros/C-utter

C-utter Versus Eric Boros,

This release starts with very Deep riffs from Eric Boros and high pitched squealing from C-utter, creating magnetic sounds and a very tight collab at the beginning, what unfolds is the mystery of Boros insane style of guitar picking coupled with C-utters free flowing improv. assault, at times hi and pink noise and also mixing in mid and lower droning sounds. Eventually it appears Boros is mixed out, until he fades back into the forefront with another foreboding riff, surrounded by c-utter’s screeching and swirling cacophony, This net-release ends at 29:28

check it out here
It is also to be noted that this can be purchased on Cd-r from Fuck The Bastards for a meager price and includes hand silk-screened art.

Roberto Maldoror Manfredini

This release is from the prolific Roberto Maldoror Manfredini, made up of samples from our field recording page 8 Tracks of raw processed sound using lo-fi micro tape recordings, digitized sounds, this is one of the rare moments that I personally think sampling is very useful. For the most part, I think samples deserve very hard consideration, in this release, Roberto develops sounds I made using stereo contact mics connected to friction drums and a vibrato drum as well. Through these tracks the sounds mature into a solid release that speaks very loudly from samples I made, never thinking that they would be processed with such consideration, The first version of this release used over 50 samples taken from “Luigi Russolo’s Intonarumori” and a handmade instrument, the Chaosmatic machine using violin and cello chords, a plunger and dinamo. This release uses samples from fieldrecordings.def-recs.com and remixes the older tracks. Roberto is a very close Luigi if ever there was one. Listen, Enjoy,

Caustic Castle-Live In Richmond

Start a RevolutionCaustic Castle – Live in Richmond – 804 noise – 2006. This release really shows how a live noise show ought to be, in 3 tracks Caustic Castle covers immense ground in his live improv no-input mixer pedal attacks. It goes from dismal and grim mid to low level noise that is listenable and complacent to the ears, to hi- and pink noise that dives into the ear canal and refuses to climb out. The harsher side of this release is very developed with multiple layers to his ultrasound textures, fizzle, crackle, hiss, and white dissonance all functioning at a very natural progression, being tweaked at just the right time to complement each sound adequately. All in all these 3 tracks are a great listen, Defenestrated Records eagerly awaits the opportunity to release Caustic Castle on a cassette. download this free release now!

Michael Thomas Jackson

Michael Thomas Jackson-Dogstar Manual – 7 tracks of controlled, contemplative noise. At times barely audible, also glaring and droning brightly in the foreground. The differences of sound texture and volume compliment each other in a seamless method, very nice release from Michael Thomas Jackson
